Buildings:
Your home/s, outbuildings, garages, walls, gates and fences; including swimming pools, tennis courts and driveways etc. You must insure your buildings and related structures at replacement cost (current building costs per m2). 
Additional Extension:
Subsidence and Landslip.
Household Contents:
This section is for all items that are not fixtures (normally insured under Buildings above) and remains at home. Everything must be insured at replacement value.
All Risks:
Applies to goods that require cover outside your home like cameras, jewellery, bicycles, leather jackets, sunglasses, etc . You are required to specify each item separately and cover extends throughout the world.
Personal Liability:
If you are found to be legally liable for Damage to Property, Injury or Death of a person as a result of an incident on your property, caused by your negligence, this section will provide cover.
Personal Accident:
Cover for death, temporary and permanent disability; and loss of limbs caused by accidental and violent means.
Motor:
Insuring vehicles owned by yourself or your family either for private or business use. The sum insured is retail value and you must remember to include any after market extras.
Pleasurecraft /Boating:
Applies to canoes, catamarans, rubber ducks, speed boats and yachts etc. Extensions available are skiers and; 3rd party and passenger liability.
Minimum Security Requirements:
  • Household Contents
    • burglar guards are required on all opening exterior windows.
    • burglar guards are waived if you have an alarm linked to armed response.
  • Motor Vehicles
    • VESA/VSS approved immobiliser or VESA approved gearlock.
    • Vehicles over a value of R200,000 are required to have satellite tracking.
    • Bakkies and microbusses VESA approved gearlock up to a value of R150,000 thereafter we require satellite tracking.

      Satellite tracking is an excellent idea because you dramatically increase the possibility of recovering your vehicle and there are reductions on the theft excess.

Fire Section:
Damage to property owned or for which or the insured is responsible by fire, lightning/thunderbolt, explosion, earthquake, water and additional perils.
Building Combined:
Damage by perils as described in the fire section to buildings, outbuildings, landlords fixtures and fittings, walls, gates, driveways etc. including loss of rent and legal liability.
Office Contents:
Loss of or damage to the contents as described in the Fire Section including landlord's fixtures and fittings and property for which the insured is responsible; including property owned by the employees limited to an amount of R2,500 per person whilst contained in the offices.
Business Interruption:
Loss of gross profit from interruption of or interference with the business following a claim under the Fire, Office Contents or Building Combined Sections; but only in respect of perils insured under the fire section; at the premises described in the schedule.
Accounts Receivable:
Loss or damage to the insured's books of accounts whereby the insured is unable to trace or establish the outstanding debit balances owed to him.
Theft:
Loss of or damage to contents at the insured's premises as a result of theft accompanied by forcible and violent entry/exit.
Money:
Loss of or damage to money defined as cash, bank/currency notes, cheques, postal orders, money orders, credit card vouchers etc for which the insured is responsible.
Glass:
Loss of or damage to internal and external glass, mirrors, signwriting and treatment thereon at the insured premises.
Fidelity:
Loss of money and/or other property, or direct financial loss sustained by the insured as a result of fraud or dishonesty by an insured employee which results in dishonest personal financial gain for the employee concerned.
Goods in Transit:
Loss of or damage to property for which the insured is responsible in the course of transit by the means of conveyance and caused by any accident or misfortune not otherwise excluded.
Business All Risks:
Loss of / or damage to specified items described in the schedule while anywhere in the world by any accident or misfortune not otherwise excluded.
Accidental Damage:
Accidental physical loss of or damage to any tangible property belonging to the insured or for which they are responsible at the premises.
Public Liability:
Legal liability for accidental death, bodily injury, illness or accidental loss/physical damage to tangible property which occurred during the course of the business as a result of negligence. Extensions available: Work Away, Products Liability and Defective Workmanship.
Group Personal Accident:
Bodily injury caused by accidental, violent, external and visible means to any principal, partner director or employee of the insured, specified in the schedule
Motor:
Loss of or damage to any vehicle described in the schedule and its accessories and spare parts whilst thereon.
Electronic Equipment:
Physical loss or material damage to electronic items specified on the policy.
Machinery Breakdown:
Any unforeseen and sudden physical damage to machinery described in the schedule.
